Clayhouse Adobe Red

Yesterday, turned out to be another one of those magical "Iris" moments! Houston's number one saumonier (in my opinion), Iris set it off for us at The Tasting Room in Uptown Park - yet again. This time she introduced about 15 of us to a blend she poured earlier called Clayhouse Adobe Red. Smooth is about the best adjetive I can use to describe it. A blend of Zinfandel, Petit Sirah, Syrah, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a berry-scented, saturated purple, fruit bomb that offers ripe, smoky flavor, a slurry texture bordering on chewy, plenty of glycerin, sweet but firm tannins and not a hard edge to be found is also how I would describe Adobe Red.

Iris before you get too excited about my aforementioned professional wine description of Clayhouse Adobe Red, please know it was completely plagiarized from http://www.sparrowine.com/ :)

Miss USA Crystle Stewart

Last year, I had the exciting honor of shooting Crystle Stewart as she ascended to the title of Miss Texas. However, that can in-no-way compare to the superseding honor of shooting her today after she returned from Las Vegas as Miss USA! Like so many people, I am quite proud of Crystle and her family. The most beautiful aspect of Miss USA is her undeniable faith and how she continually thanks our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for all of her accomplishments. Below you will see a few images from my shoot of her church homecoming at Joy Tabernacle.

The proud pastor of Miss USA, Dr. Michael P. Williams

The church prepared an emotionally moving video of Crystle's mountains and valleys leading to her triumphant victory in Vegas!

Crystle,
You are already our Miss Universe . . . even before the pageant later this year in Vietnam!

Frazier Wilson's 40th B-Day!

Leaving one Alpha Man's birthday dinner and going to another's . . . Frazier did some hard core old-skool partying! Now this is how you ring-in the big four-zero. As you can see, Def Jam Blaster went so hard in the paint people never had a chance to leave the dance floor. If you were born in the 60's/70's this party was unequivocally for you! Take a look at Frazier and his beautiful wife getting their boogie-on in the below image.

Chris Toliver's 35th B-Day

Last night, Denese had a surpsie birthday dinner for her husband Chris - one of my favorite fraternity brothers as well as golfing partners. Every time I think of Chris and golf I always Laugh Out Loud because years and years ago Chris and Jermaine would pick me up early, early in the morning to go tee 'em up. Many times we would play on Saturday mornings and I would inevitably be dawg tired from "enjoying" the night before. How many times Chris was outside blowing the horn and calling my cell to wake me after he had already called a hour in advance to make sure I was up and all ready I couldn't even say!!!

Anyway, I digress. Crappito's was Denese's excellent pick and as you can see, laughter was visibly infectious. Chris and Denese are great friends. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting their beautiful Galveston, Texas wedding last year and his dinner!

Brentwood Fashion Show

This is always one of my most enjoyable fashion shows. The Brentwood Foundation Fashion Show is a true testament of the limitless heights God can bless a church. With awesome leadership from Dr. Joe Samuel Ratliff, magnificent Macy's sponsorship and a dynamic congregation to mention a few, I remain excited and honored to shoot this scholarship event.

A few more sit-ups and I'll look just like the gentleman on the right :)

Here's Monica, another Predestined client, and her beautiful daughter!

March of Dimes 2008

Today, I had a blast shooting the March of Dimes Walk-America at University of Houston. Although I was retained by a corporate client, this is always a great event for me as helping to bring awareness and raising funds for premature babies is truly God's work. Look at how much fun the walkers are having!

The Inaugural Post!

Well, it's been a long time coming and now - voila! It's here! My blog! I feel like I should have been blogging for years now, but you know how we allow "life" to impede us. For me, I needed some special event to commemorate my inaugural post. Little did I know it would be the Houston International Festival (i-fest). We just happen to roll-up on the Louisiana stage and found the Rebels rocking, people dancing and my girl Rachel having a blast! Then it hit me, I-fest will mark my first blog!

Did you see the radio station from my alma mater?

Next, we bumped into my favorite "Fee friend," L-Dub (center), her husband Arthur (pulverizing the turkey leg) and other friends.

After getting some grub, we finally made our way over to the HEB stage. There we saw my girl Reagan who was "doing her" and remaining true to her mission of educating kids through amazingly fun robotics and engineering. Congratulations on acquiring great sponsors such as Shell and Schlumberger and good luck with your upcoming C-STEM Sea Turtle Robotics Challenge on May 3rd at TSU!

We finally found the brothers of Alpha Eta Lambda (Alpha Phi Alpha) at the Bud Light main event stage. Of course, my brothers were diligently serving all who visiting the beer garden :) The last attraction was the award-winning Neville brothers, "New Orleans First Family of Funk."

I would like to say my beautiful wife Felicia is smiling because of me, but I think it has more to do with Aaron Neville :)

Thanks for sharing in my inaugural post! I hope I didn't bore you too much :) You can look forward to more of my adventures especially through my professional photography - PredestinedEvents.com.
